Onimodoki are a variant of shape-shifting monster that can duplicate a monster's features at will. Unlike the Doppelgangers, however, they do not have the ability to mimic the monster's powers and abilities. At the same time, they do not require physical contact to transform to the monster they wish to be.

Onimodoki is a shape shifting monster, like the Doppelgangers, but they should not be mistaken for their more superior counterparts. A major difference include that when transformed, they cannot copy the ability of another monster, so their strength depends on how strong they are in their normal form, not the monster they based their appearance upon. An example of this would be a Onimodoki named Junya Inui, who takes a form of a vampire to make girls drop their defenses and to gain the trust of Moka Akashiya, who is a vampire. When challenged by Tsukune Aono, he transform into what looks like a powerful vampire. Beaten back, Tsukune points out that despite his looks, Inui is not a vampire, as an actual vampire could kill him in one hit. The Inner Moka confirms this by saying that, while he converts his demonic aura into muscle, real vampires convert it straight to raw energy.
