tsukune is a human(for a while)
Humans are the species that dominate the Earth in Rosario+Vampire. Initially Tsukune was human, and so was Hokuto, but now they are both human-ayashi hybrids. In general all the monsters go to Yokai Academy to learn to get along with humans and peacefully coexist with them. Humans don't have powers or abilities like monsters are very mundane often seen as trash or food by many monsters, likewise, human feel the same fear and hatred of monsters.
